The Board of Directors of the Georgia Gang Investigators Association (GGIA) has approved the implementation of a Basic Street Gang Investigator Certification for its members. The certification course is being hosted by the Whitfield County Sheriff's Office and it will be held at 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Monday, February 3, 2020. The training will be located at the at the Whitfield County Sheriff's Office Training Center at 296 Old Praters Mill Road, Dalton, Ga. 30721.
Personnel applying to obtain a GGIA Basic Street Gang Investigator Certification must meet the following criteria:
Be a current member in good standing of the Georgia Gang Investigators Association
Registration and payment required in advance
Pay a tuition cost of $100.00
Attend the entire 8 hour GGIA Basic Street Gang Investigator Certification Course
Successfully pass the Basic Street Gang Investigator Certification test of 50 questions with minimum score of 70%
