The Board of Directors of the Georgia Gang Investigators Association (GGIA) has approved the implementation of an Intermediate Street Gang Investigator Certification for its members. The certification course will hosted by the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office Training Division on Tuesday, February 4, 2020, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The training is located at 516 Chattin Drive, Canton, Ga. 30115.
Personnel applying to obtain a GGIA Intermediate Street Gang Investigator Certification must meet the following criteria:
Have successfully completed the BASIC Certification Course (There is a 90 day minimum waiting period between completion of the Basic and registration for this course.)
Be a member in good standing of the GGIA
Registration and payment required in advance
Pay a tuition cost of $100.00
A laptop will be required to complete the training
Attend the entire 8 hour GGIA Intermediate Street Gang Investigators Certification Course
Successfully pass the Intermediate Street Gang Investigators Certification test of 50 questions with minimum score of 70%
