The Board of Directors of the Georgia Gang Investigators Association (GGIA) in conjunction with the Albany Police Department and the Attorney General's Office of Georgia has approved the implementation of a Basic Street Gang Investigator Certification for its members. The certification course will be held at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, May 19, 2023, at the Albany Police Department- 201 West Oglethorpe Blvd, Albany, Ga. 31702. Personnel applying to obtain a GGIA Basic Street Gang Investigator Certification must meet the following criteria:
Be a current member in good standing of the Georgia Gang Investigators Association
Registration and payment required in advance
Pay a tuition cost of $100.00
Attend the entire 8-hour GGIA Basic Street Gang Investigator Certification Course
Successfully pass the Basic Street Gang Investigator Certification test with minimum score of 70%
